Project: Classroom Videoconferencing for the Mindanao Peace Process

PeaceTech involved 270 class sections or 11,000 high school students in this classroom videoconference program. It happened in strategic cities for the Peace Process in Mindanao in the southern Philippines. Classes in Values Education in the cities of Cotabato, Iligan, Marawi and Zamboanga, Mindanao were paired with classes in Metro Manila and Cebu City. Results show improved learning and tolerance between Christian and Muslim students. At the end of the Program, PeaceTech signed an agreement with the Philippine government to integrate classroom videoconferencing into the high school curriculum for English, Science, Social Studies and Values Education.
