Global Classroom Connects Iloilo and Cotabato Cities

Students at Assumption Iloilo and Cotabato City National High School made history today when they held their first classroom videoconference between the central and southern Philippines.

They were joined at the end by British and Dutch tech. entrepreneurs, Mike Waaijer of Rcksld.com and Paul McCarthy of thrivethemes.com.

High school coordinator Mildred Bernadas facilitated in Iloilo City and social studies teacher, Jonathan Husain, facilitated in Cotabato City. Jeanette Guadiano, social studies head and PeaceTech & Brigada Eskwela Coordinator, supervised, with Julie Enolpe of PeaceTech.

Global Classroom Iloilo-Cotabato was initiated by grade 11 student Chad Clement who shares the dream to use technology to connect classrooms.
