Thousands of young people from conflict-affected areas in mainland Mindanao and the islands come together through giant screens on November 14. This is a massive “reaching-out” through technology to help end a conflict that has killed up to 150,000 people. Participants from the islands of Basilan, Sulu, Tawi-Tawi and Zamboanga City will be bridged with their peers in Cotabato City, Maguindanao and N.Cotabato. They will include former fighters, soldiers, victims, out-of-school youth, students and teachers, sometimes divided by the 40-year conflict. This Videoconference is initiating relationships between groups and launching projects that youth will implement in their communities.
